Lobito

The harbour is one of the best harbours in the west coast of Africa providing a secure deep water port.

The long isthmus is the Restinga, one of the suburbs of the city with the breakwater "Esporoes" system that prevented the harbour entry from blocking up with sand.

The end of the isthmus called Ponta da Restinga was one of the most sought after beaches of the city. Our last house in Angola is situated two blocks down towards the city from the large roundabout (help, forgot the name) at the end of the isthmus.

The center of the city can be see on the top of the picture, connecting the isthmus to the main land.
