Figueira da
Foz is where Filomena’s family live. Figueira da Foz is a beautiful city in the
central coast of Portugal. It is the home of the first casino and its port
and the two paper mills are the centre of the economy. We made three trips to
Figueira. One of the trips was Belinha’s (Filomena’s sister) birthday and obviously lots of
food and drinks. I had my fix of snails and even beat little André in
a competition to see who was the quickest snail eater. We also attended Tomás soccer game and saw him scoring a goal.
